The FIRST SATURDAY of each month beginning August 5th 10:30-11:30 am
The class will run for 9 months.

Michelle "Knit Purl" Hunter has done it again! This workshop, based on the latest book in her skill-building series, is a nine-part exploration of lace that will make you a master. Each month, we will introduce a new stitch pattern with a new technique, and the finished product is a show-stopping wrap sure to become an heirloom. Rylie, and alpaca-silk-linen blend yarn, is the definition ofluxury...add beads for a touch of sparkle, and you have one unforgettable project. And, as a BONUS...we will include beads and stitch markers for this project...on us!

Entrelac

ENTRELAC

Saturday, August 19 10:30am - 12:30pm

Entrelac Knitting is an easy form of colorwork. Literally meaning "Interlacements" it resembles basketweave - but on the diagonal. It can be the most fun when using a slow striping yarn, which is what we will be using in this class. The technique is not complicated, but we will be adding some tips and tricks to make it even more enticing.

This is one of the most fun hats I've ever made! The photo is just one sample of what you can do-we have others to show you! Choose your yarn, any yarn, and then choose some fun stitch patterns...and make a hat! You'll want to make dozens and its a great way to use up some of your stash. This hat is knit in the round, but with no decreasing. We will teach you a simple way of designing and adding a pattern to make it a one-of-a-kind accessory, and very little math is involved. Seriously.

Shadow Knitting is also called "illusion knitting". Two colors are used, and only knit and purl stitches are required. How you "view" the fabric can change what you see! We will teach this fun technique and add lots of information on how to apply it and finish off a quick project. If you have previously taken this class from Emily, and would like to take it again for the new pattern - please see us for a reduced class fee.
